Company Description

Disability Works Australia (DWA) is a national not for profit charity founded in 2004 by CEO Tina Zeleznik to deliver a National Disability Recruitment Service that helps employers recruit people with disability. Operating as an independent broker rather than a DES provider, DWA gives employers a single, effective point of contact and links them with the right Disability Employment Services (DES) providers to source and support candidates. By educating the business community on disability awareness, inclusive hiring practices, and the practical application of Disability Discrimination Act requirements, DWA helps large and mid sized organizations design accessible recruitment processes and sustainable employment pathways. DWA supports employers across full time, part time, casual, and traineeship opportunities, and provides short disability awareness training that covers why to recruit people with disability, types of disability and their implications at work, responsibilities and liabilities, the employer role in recruitment, and how to leverage government funded programs and incentives. With a national footprint and staff based in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, the organization manages relationships with many well known employers and government partners, including Bendigo Bank, Coles Group, AFL, Business Enterprise Centre Australia (BECA), Kmart, Target, Compass Group, the South Australian and Victorian State Governments, and the Commonwealth Government. DWA also collaborates with mainstream recruitment firms to raise awareness of job seekers with disability and to modify selection processes so more candidates are considered on merit. As a national program, DWA streamlines outreach and vacancy distribution to the DES network, centralizes candidate feedback, and tracks progress against employer KPIs, enabling enterprise scale hiring without unnecessary administrative burden. Organizations engage DWA to pilot or scale disability employment initiatives, refresh job descriptions, adjust assessment methods, implement reasonable adjustments, and improve onboarding and retention. For job seekers registered with DES providers, DWA opens doors to roles in diverse industries by matching motivated people to good employers and advocating for inclusive practices that deliver long term, measurable outcomes.

BerConn Global Pty Ltd

BerConn Global Pty Ltd is a privately owned boutique legal search agency based in Sydney, Australia, specialising in private practice recruitment across domestic and international markets. Founded in July 2015 by Co-founders and Managing Directors Jenny Bermheden and Karlie Connellan, the firm draws on more than 40 years of combined recruitment experience gained within international agencies and specialist boutique search firms. BerConn Global partners exclusively with law firms and high-calibre lawyers, offering a tailored, bespoke service grounded in integrity, discretion and deep market insight. With no jurisdictional boundaries and no alignment to any single firm, the team has established strong relationships with leading practices globally and is prepared to build new connections where a search requires it. For candidates, BerConn Global provides an honest assessment of fit, closely tailors resumes to target markets and jurisdictions, controls when and where applications are submitted through explicit written consent, delivers detailed interview coaching, and offers ongoing support post-placement, including during relocations across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Europe, Asia and the United States. For law firms, the consultancy operates through a highly targeted process, presenting only closely matched profiles, supplying anonymous profiles on request, assisting with salary negotiations and references, and adhering to each firm’s recruitment protocols across their global networks. The firm intentionally limits the number of lawyers it represents to ensure quality of service, maintains a high referral rate, and travels regularly across major cities in Australia and New Zealand to meet talent in person. For unique or hard-to-fill mandates and senior appointments, BerConn Global recommends retained search assignments with a bespoke method and timeline. Their track record includes successful cross-border moves into elite international firms across banking and finance, corporate, disputes, projects, real estate and other practice areas, delivered with responsiveness, professionalism and a personalised touch.

People Intelligence Recruitment Pty Ltd

People Intelligence Recruitment Pty Ltd was a boutique Australian recruitment consultancy known for its relationship-led approach and hands-on market expertise. Co-founded by Lindsey Morgan and Catherine Moores, the firm drew on more than 40 years of cumulative recruitment experience gained in Sydney, London, and other international markets, bringing a pragmatic, service-focused ethos to matching white-collar and leadership talent with organizations of varying sizes. Operating as a small, agile team, People Intelligence Recruitment emphasized transparency, diligence, and long-term fit, building trust with clients, candidates, suppliers, and recruitment partners through clear communication and attentive delivery. The company has now closed following the founders’ personal transitions, with Lindsey moving toward retirement and Catherine beginning a new career in Allied Health; this decision reflects a respectful, planned wind-down rather than a change in ownership. In announcing the closure, the firm expressed sincere gratitude to its stakeholders for making the journey meaningful and successful and provided a single point of contact for any residual inquiries. The legacy of People Intelligence Recruitment is that of a generalist, cross-industry capability typical of boutique agencies in Australia, shaped by international networks and local insight across Sydney and the broader Australian market. Its digital presence now serves primarily as a notice of closure and a conduit for communication where needed, honoring prior relationships and ensuring continuity for anyone seeking follow-up. Although operations have ceased, the firm’s track record underscores a commitment to high-touch recruitment, careful candidate assessment, and collaborative client partnerships forged over years of practice in the staffing and recruiting field.
