Company Description

Maerk Jobbet is a Danish social employment initiative that connects vulnerable young people with real job opportunities by building a strong community around them and creating practical, supported routes into work. Based in Kolding and operating through a national partnership of job centers, FlexFabrikken, the Grundfos Foundation, and local womens handball clubs in the Bambusa Kvindeligaen, the program combines a 12 week course delivered by FlexFabrikken with hands on employer engagement to produce tangible matches between employer needs and candidate potential. The approach emphasizes fellowship, confidence building, and work readiness, ensuring each participant develops an individual work profile before being introduced to jobs among club sponsors or wider local networks. For employers facing ongoing labor shortages, Maerk Jobbet provides a structured, low risk way to access motivated entry level talent, including candidates who may thrive in reduced hour or adaptable roles. Through FlexFabrikken, companies can either hire directly for permanent positions or access flexible staffing where workers are employed and leased out, enabling agile workforce solutions while maintaining quality and support. The initiative engages a broad set of industries, reflected by participating sponsors and collaborators across manufacturing, hospitality, logistics, and more, and it showcases role models from club squads to inspire participants to set goals and believe in their capabilities. Supported by follow up research funded by the Grundfos Foundation, Maerk Jobbet aims to validate a scalable, community centered method of job creation that can be replicated to benefit young people nationwide. With a clear focus on measurable outcomes for both life quality and the bottom line, the team invites companies to enter into dialogue about their workforce needs and turn good intentions into concrete hiring actions, helping young people into work while strengthening local businesses.
