The optics and instrumentation portfolio includes laser optics, filters, crystals, thermal imaging, Tinsley custom optics, laser power and energy meters and sensors, beam diagnostics, photodetectors, beam delivery components, processing heads, and specialty optical fibers and assemblies. Engineered materials capabilities cover ceramics and metal matrix composites, rare specialty metals and thermoelectrics, wide-bandgap electronics with silicon carbide substrates and epitaxy, and ion implantation foundry services. Coherent solutions enable ultra-high-speed, power-efficient connectivity across hyperscale and enterprise data centers and transform metro, long-haul, subsea, and space communications; they also power precision manufacturing for automotive and energy (including EV and fuel cell), semiconductor and display capital equipment, electronics, and metal fabrication. In life sciences and medical, Coherent supports bioinstrumentation, flow cytometry, microscopy and imaging, DNA sequencing, spectroscopy, dermatology, surgical, dental, ophthalmic, and therapeutic applications. With a strong emphasis on reliability validated by HALT/HASS methodologies and a commitment to ESG, Coherent harnesses photons to drive innovation and mitigate supply chain risk through deep vertical integration.
