Kontaktdagarna is Swedens largest student career fair for economics, industrial engineering, systems science, and media and communications students at Uppsala University, organized annually since 1983. Its mission is to build a reliable bridge between students and their future employers by creating a vibrant two day marketplace for talent, learning, and networking. The flagship fair takes place every November and is complemented by a spring mini fair called Kontaktstarten, giving employers multiple touchpoints with candidates across the academic year. Each edition features company exhibitions, scheduled contact interviews, lectures, workshops, and social events designed to spark meaningful conversations that lead to internships, thesis collaborations, and graduate and junior permanent roles. The event regularly welcomes around 2,000 visitors and hosts more than one hundred structured one to one interviews, while a team of student volunteers coordinates logistics, hospitality, and IT to ensure a smooth experience for exhibitors and guests. Kontaktdagarna actively promotes sustainability in both fair operations and culture, striving for long term positive impact for students, companies, and the community. For employers, participation offers targeted access to high intent early talent from programs that blend analytical rigor with real world problem solving, spanning finance and business, industrial and production management, computer and information systems, and media and communications. Exhibitors can strengthen employer branding on campus, pre book interview slots, meet candidates at their booth, and sponsor lectures or activities to increase visibility. The fair is run by a project group within the student association Uppsalaekonomerna, with Uppsala Systemvetare and Uppsala Medievetare as co organizers, and is based in Uppsala. By focusing on structured encounters and sustained engagement throughout the year, Kontaktdagarna helps companies source and hire early career white collar talent across technology, engineering, marketing, and finance.
