EmployAbility Service Wicklow is a government funded supported employment provider helping people aged 18 to 65 who live with a disability, injury or long term health condition to get and keep work across County Wicklow. Established in 2001 and operating as part of a national network contracted by the Department of Social Protection, the service is grounded in the ethos of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and delivers free, confidential and person centered support. Engagement is voluntary and open to those who are job ready and medically fit to work at least 8 hours per week; jobseekers can self refer or be referred via Intreo. Dedicated Employment Support Specialists deliver a structured pathway that typically includes an initial one to one meeting, vocational profiling and goal setting, CV and application support, interview preparation, direct job sourcing, and advocacy with agencies and potential employers.
