Rural Minnesota CEP, Inc. (RMCEP) is a private, nonprofit CareerForce partner that has been making employment dreams a reality for more than 50 years across Northwest Minnesota. Operating out of eight CareerForce offices in Alexandria, Bemidji, Brainerd, Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Little Falls, Moorhead, and Wadena, RMCEP helps people find jobs, explore careers, and access the training and support they need to secure meaningful employment. Job seekers benefit from personalized career counseling, career exploration and planning, workshops on job search techniques, resume writing and interviewing, and convenient access to computers, internet, phones, printers, and copiers. RMCEP delivers targeted youth services, Career and College Readiness initiatives for high schools, and the federally sponsored Ticket to Work program, while ensuring eligible veterans and their spouses receive priority of service. For employers, RMCEP provides Business Services including hiring and talent pipeline support, National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) assessments to validate foundational skills, and Employer Training Services through the Incumbent Worker Training Program to upskill existing staff. The organization partners closely with state and regional stakeholders on innovative initiatives that address critical labor shortages and sector needs, such as Drive for Five, which focuses on Education, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Trades, and Technology, and AgPaths, which strengthens the regional agriculture workforce. RMCEP’s community-centered model emphasizes long-term economic vitality by aligning the needs of employers, job seekers, and educators, and by connecting training resources and funding to high-demand career pathways.
