Company Description

New World Education is an education consultancy dedicated to student growth and success, specializing in college access, retention, and student leadership development for K–16 communities. The organization’s HOUSE (Holistic Unlimited Student Empowerment) advising method emphasizes self-direction and self-awareness, equipping students to thrive academically, personally, and socially while engaging parents and educators as essential partners. NWE’s offering spans academic and personal development workshops, multi-session series and programs, student leadership development, student and professional staff training, and curriculum and program development tailored to college access, retention, and leadership initiatives. The team has delivered programs and services for a wide range of institutions and initiatives, including UCLA (Student Initiated Access and Retention Centers), UC Davis (Student Recruitment and Retention Center), UC San Diego’s SPACES, Cerritos College (Project HOPE and Adult Education and Diversity), Cal Poly Pomona, and the University of Texas system (TRiO Programs and Texas Advanced Computing Center outreach), as well as MEDPEP (Médicos, Enfermeros y Dentistas Para El Pueblo). Founded in 1999 by Mandla Kayise, a UCLA alumnus and former UCLA Student Affairs administrator with extensive experience developing outreach, retention, and community service programs for underrepresented and disadvantaged students, New World Education has trained thousands of students, counselors, faculty, and program administrators across Southern California and statewide. Under Kayise’s leadership, the organization is recognized for advancing equitable access and improving outcomes for historically underserved learners; he has been honored with the LA NAACP Youth League’s 2007 Man of Valor award and recognized as an Outstanding UCLA Alumnus by the UCLA Academic Advancement Program. Grounded in partnerships with universities, colleges, and community-based initiatives, NWE blends evidence-informed curricula, leadership training, and hands-on program delivery to help institutions build sustainable pipelines to and through higher education while cultivating student leaders who positively impact their campuses and communities.
