Workforce Solutions of Central Texas (WSCT) is the public workforce development organization serving jobseekers and employers across Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, Lampasas, Milam, San Saba, and Mills counties. The organization delivers comprehensive services for individuals, veterans, students and young adults, individuals with disabilities, and parents in need of childcare, while providing businesses with talent recruitment support, employee skills training, employer resources, and layoff assistance. WSCT partners closely with community nonprofits, city and county offices, chambers of commerce, regional businesses, and colleges and universities to facilitate economic success, including collaborations with Temple College and the Texas Veterans Commission. The team hosts high-impact hiring events such as Spring Forward and Summer Surge to connect candidates directly with hiring managers across diverse sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, information technology, finance, hospitality, and customer service. Recognized as a state and national leader, WSCT has received the Texas Quality Award for Performance Excellence and has been named among the Top 100 Best Companies to Work For in Texas for 13 consecutive years. Under long-time leadership through early 2025, the system managed a $45+ million annual budget supporting workforce programs, public employment services, and competitive grants, and it continues to invest in high-demand skills such as industrial automation through initiatives launched with Temple College that support military families and spouses in the Fort Cavazos community.
