Company Description

For Purpose is Irelands Social Impact Graduate Programme, created to give the charity, community and voluntary sector a structured pipeline of early career talent while giving graduates a clear pathway to purposeful work. Operated as part of 2into3, which has supported nonprofits since 2006, For Purpose partners with social impact organisations to design and deliver end to end graduate recruitment and development. The team manages the full hiring cycle for graduate roles, from drafting job specifications and advertising, to screening, shortlisting and preparing clients for final stage interviews, ensuring a high quality and consistent candidate experience. Once hired, graduates join a rolling 12 month paid development programme that blends one to one mentoring with experienced nonprofit professionals and monthly learning seminars. The curriculum combines core work skills such as time management and team dynamics with sector deep dives on governance, advocacy and funding, helping graduates transition confidently from education to employment. For Purpose recruits across functions commonly in demand across the sector, including fundraising, communications, finance and HR, as well as specialist roles in areas like housing and community development. In 2023 the programme attracted strong interest and robust outcomes, with 724 applications, 134 screening interviews, 38 client panel interviews, 9 successful graduate hires and 65 percent of graduates progressing within their organisations upon completion. Employers benefit from a trusted partner that understands nonprofit context, brings a ready network of mission driven graduates and supports retention through structured mentoring and peer learning. Graduates gain paid experience, professional coaching and a sector wide network through regular For Purpose Tuesdays seminars. Headquartered at Huckletree in The Academy, 42 Pearse St, Dublin, For Purpose is the only graduate programme in Ireland dedicated to paid opportunities across the nonprofit sector, aligning talent with roles that deliver measurable social impact.
